Welcome to the Home of the 12th Man

Texas A&M Athletics is a nationally prominent force that is dedicated to building champions through academic achievement and athletic success.  The Athletics program has a rich history that includes one of the greatest traditions in collegiate athletics: The 12th Man.  The athletics department is committed to building champions through academic achievement, athletic excellence, and national recognition of student-athletes, teams, and programs. Texas A&M University is a proud member of the Southeastern Conference, with more than 650 Texas A&M student-athletes competing at the NCAA Division 1-A level in 20 varsity sports.

For Texas A&M University students, former students, and College Station locals alike, football is more than just a popular past-time. The return of football season calls for the return of treasured traditions and memories in the making, thanks to the impressive legacy of the Aggie football program’s history.

There is no off-season for Aggies since the Texas A&M spirit lives on year-round. Come basketball season, students and former students alike migrate from Kyle Field down the street to Reed Arena, where the Fightin’ Texas Aggies take on other top teams from around the nation, including some heated SEC rivals.

Whether baseball or softball, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a college town more spirited than College Station. When it's Aggie baseball season, it is time to root for our home team as they continue a baseball tradition of 19 conference wins and a legacy dating back to the 1890s!
