Committed to Environmentally Conscious Practices

Sustainability Efforts

The Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center is committed to finding energy solutions that lessen our negative impact on the environment while balancing 100% guest satisfaction. We invest in environmentally friendly technology, use of renewable energy resources and achieving operational efficiencies through the sourcing of recyclable materials.

Minimizing Waste

Our grab-and-go products offer convenient dining options while reducing environmental impact. We use recyclable, biodegradable, or compostable containers to minimize waste. Our clear cups, lids, barista syrup, soda, and water bottles are made from PET plastic, a flexible and 100% recyclable material. Our black straws are compostable, and our to-go cartons are made from 100% recycled paper and are biodegradable. Water filling stations in public areas and Hydration Stations on each guest room floor reduce plastic bottle waste.

Conserving Energy

To conserve energy, our 'Choose to Reuse' towel program encourages guests to reuse towels, reducing water and electricity usage. LED lights, used in all public areas, outdoor lighting, and guest rooms, consume 75% less energy and last 25 times longer than incandescent bulbs. We also offer electric vehicle charging stations in our parking garage, requiring network membership and separate usage fees.
