ADA Accessibility

The Texas A&M Hotel & Convention Center offers accessible parking with 27 handicap spaces and room for five ADA-compliant vans in its multi-level garage, with elevators on each floor and an accessible path to the hotel's lobby. Valet parking is available at the porte-cochère entry for guests needing extra assistance. Inside, all public areas, including bathrooms, meeting spaces, restaurants, and the bar, are ADA-accessible. The business center and fitness area are designed for wheelchair use, and the pool has individual lifts for easy access.

Accessibility Public Spaces Information

PARKING

  • The hotel’s attached, full-height parking garage offers 27 handicap parking spaces and room for five ADA vans
  • Handicap spaces are provided on all levels and located near a bank of four elevators for full accessibility no matter which floor you park on
  • From the third level of Gene Stallings Blvd parking garage connected to the second level of the hotel, guests have an accessible path of travel to the hotel’s lobby via two elevators
  • Valet parking is available at the hotel’s porte-cochère entry for guests with a handicap permit who need a bit more assistance
  • Parking garage is maintained, well lit, and equipped with visibly outlined ADA Cross Paths

ENTRANCES & ELEVATORS

  • The main entrance to the lobby has automatic double sliding doors
  • Elevators can take guests to all levels of the hotel including meeting rooms
  • The outdoor pool deck is accessible by elevator
  • The Hotel is equipped with an accessible loading and unloading area

FRONT DESK

  • Resort Front Desk is accessible to wheelchairs and features a lowered shelf convenient for guests
  • Portable TDD devices are available for the hearing impaired, and assistance-listening devices are provided in the conference center

We strive to offer an excellent user experience for visitors using any type of assistive technology to access the website. Our website accessibility standards are based on the WCAG 2.1 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1) level A + AA success criteria.

Using mainstream, developer-supported accessibility monitoring tools and assistive technology, our site undergoes real time monitoring and multiple scans per day to detect any accessibility errors that may arise due to the addition of updated content or website code.

Our team of accessibility experts manually investigates each error that may appear and applies an appropriate remedy in order to ensure the site’s functionality is available to the most diverse range of users possible. Data results of scans are recorded in long-term logs so that we are able to access a snapshot of the accessibility score of the website at any given time.

Guest Rooms

ADA-accessible guestrooms, found on floors three through eight, are easily reached using three main elevators within the hotel, ensuring convenient and efficient access for all guests with disabilities or mobility needs.

  • Accessible and Hearing-Impaired Guestrooms

    The hotel offers 19 guestrooms that comply with Americans with Disabilities Act 2010 standards. Twelve of these rooms are totally accessible, and many offer hearing-impaired communication devices.

  • ADA King and Queen Guestrooms

    Our king and double-queen accessible guestrooms feature luxurious bedding, large-screen TVs with premiums channels, in-room safe, iron/ironing board, wireless internet, bath amenities, hair dryer and refreshment center, as well as the ADA-accessible features listed below.

  • ADA Junior King Suite

    The 600-square-foot Junior King Suite accessible unit is located on the fourth floor. The suite includes a separate parlor connected to a bedroom with a king bed, a living room complete with a large-screen TV, refreshment center and sleeper-sofa seating area, plus the ADA-accessible features listed below.

  • ADA Corner Suite

    Our ADA Corner Suite is a fully accessible, 810-square-foot guestroom on the fourth floor. The suite includes a separate parlor connected to a bedroom with a king bed, a living room complete with a large-screen TV, sleeper-sofa seating area and refreshment center with an accessible wet bar and under-counter refrigerator, plus the ADA-accessible features listed below.

  • ADA Accessible Penthouse

    This Penthouse is our “premier” ADA-accessible suite. Located on the eighth floor and featuring more than 2,150 square feet of luxurious space, the suite has two large, accessible terraces overlooking Kyle Stadium and a double-sided fireplace separating the king bedroom and living room. The suite also has a separate study, wet bar with center island, fully accessible, four-fixture bath with separate water closet and accessible double vanities, plus the ADA-accessible features listed below.
