BRAZOS VALLEY MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY

Learn about the natural world at the Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History. This museum aims to educate the College Station community about the world’s natural and cultural history. At the museum, you’ll discover fossils, antique farming equipment, taxidermy mounts, rare rock and mineral specimens, and more. The museum also features a discovery room with fifteen varieties of live animals.

BOONVILLE HERITAGE PARK

Though it’s not technically a museum, Boonville Heritage Park is a historical site and outdoor experience all in one. This park is the last standing remnant of the town of Boonville, the center of Brazos County in the mid-1800’s.Tour the Turner-Peters log house, built in 1856. Visit the original Boonville cemetery, the burial place of “The Father of Brazos County.” Or simply stroll through the park's rolling 11.29 acres.
