College Station Christmas
5 Magical Ways to Celebrate
There’s something about the holidays that brings out the kid in all of us. Maybe it’s the twinkly lights or presents or simply the promise of Santa Claus. Whatever it is, you’ll find it during a College Station Christmas.
In College Station alone, you can immerse yourself in the spirit of The North Pole, visit with Santa Claus, and ride down a snow slide. And that’s only after you’ve embarked on a carriage ride or conquered a festive fun run. College Station leverages its charming small-town spirit to put on holiday activities you won’t find anywhere else.
Discover five of the most magical ways to celebrate the holidays in College Station.
Santa’s Wonderland
Experience an authentic Texas Christmas at Santa’s Wonderland, a holiday favorite in the Brazos Valley. This is not only a place where you can witness Santa’s grand entrance, but it’s also one of the few places in Texas where residents can enjoy a white Christmas.
Besides the snow, Santa’s Wonderland also offers hayride tours beneath a vibrant display of millions of lights, or even horse and carriage rides. Kids will love to ride the train, race down the toboggan chute, make snowballs in the snow playground, and find out where they stand on the naughty and nice list.
Christmas in the Park
Celebrate Christmas in Stephen C. Beachy park for not one but two weekends in December. Christmas in the Park brings together all your favorite things about the holiday season. Wave to Santa, deliver your wish list, sip to-go hot cocoa, and drive through the festive nativity.
Celebrate: Dec. 4-5 from 6 - 10 p.m.
See the Lights: Nov. 27-Jan. 1. from 6 - 11 p.m.
Downtown Bryan Lighted Christmas Parade
Immerse yourself in the Christmas spirit by way of Christmas lights. As the only lighted parade in Bryan-College Station, this event goes all out. Floats, fire engines, vehicles, and more drive the streets of downtown Bryan decked out in their best Christmas lights on Thursday, December 10, 2020, at 6:30 p.m.
The parade kicks off at 24th and Bryan street then heads south, turns on to 28th, then meanders back up Main Street. Rumor has it that Santa might even make an appearance at the end of the parade—candy canes in hand.
December First Friday
Though First Fridays take place year-round, you’ll still want to make time for their holiday installment. At December’s event, you’ll enjoy all the food trucks and crafts you would any time of year, plus special holiday-themed festivities.
