3 Ways to Celebrate Texas A&M Graduation

For most students, graduation is a long time coming. For their parents, graduation arrives in the blink of an eye. So while graduation is a celebration for all, the sentiment behind the celebration might vary depending on who you ask. Graduating students often look forward to their walk across the Reed Arena stage as early as their first week of classes. Parents likely began feeling bittersweet long before that.

And yet for both parents and students, this poignant mixture of emotions is likely balanced by pride. Students proud of their status as degree candidates, parents proud of the adult who’s come to life before their eyes. As Texas A&M 2019 graduation grows ever closer, stay in a place that can honor all aspects of the graduation celebration. Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center is one of those places.

Be Surrounded By All Things Aggie

Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center is as spirited as the name suggests. Aggie paraphernalia adorns ever surface, from the maroon and white walls and furnishings to the Texas A&M insignia that appears in most decorations--including the engraved shower handles. This is exactly what parents and students alike will need on a weekend when life in College Station is coming to a close.

Your student can eat, breathe, and sleep Aggie for one last time. Cheers with an Aggie-rita. Gather on the pool deck with views of Kyle Field. Dig into a celebratory meal at Brazos - Proper Texas Kitchen. Every experience is about being an Aggie so students can create a final memory to return to whenever they’re craving a taste of College Station.

Stay Close to the Ceremony

Step outside our hotel, hang a right, then stroll for a little under half a mile down Joe Routt Boulevard and you’ll find yourself at Reed Arena. That’s how easy it is to arrive at your student’s ceremony after a good night’s sleep at Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center. But there are perks to staying at the university’s “guesthouse” beyond the quick walk to Reed Arena.

So much of your student’s experience is tied to the campus. It’s the Century Tree and the Military Walk, the gameday tailgates and the football games at Kyle Field. It’s the unique corners of campus that have meaning because of their memories. It’s all the photo op’s your student will want on this last weekend in College Station. Stay where all of this is at their fingertips so you can take that stroll down memory lane together.

Honor the Day Your Way

No two families are alike, and neither are their graduation ceremonies. Some students may celebrate with their entire extended family. Others may choose to commemorate their accomplishment with a more intimate selection of loved ones. Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center can transform to suit your group, no matter the nature of the celebration.

Our accommodations are cozy for all, but Hospitality and Corner Suites and Penthouses have all the space you need to host a celebration of your own. Or let us take care of the details with an indulgent meal in honor of your grad at Brazos - Proper Texas Kitchen. You can even keep it casual with pre ceremony coffee at The Junction Market & Cafe, or post ceremony cocktails at Block T Bar. This graduation weekend is yours. Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center can transform to accommodate the right celebration for you.

By now, graduation applications are in and final grades will soon be posted. Students planning their post-college lives will soon be thrust into the real world. Though you can't stop time, you can slow it down. Savor the graduation weekend by immersing yourself in everything Aggie for what may be the last time--at least until football season.
