Football Gamedays give way to basketball, meaning the Aggie spirit lives on year-round. Come basketball season, students and former students alike migrate from Kyle Field down the street to Reed Arena, where the Fightin’ Texas Aggies take on other top teams from around the nation, including some heated SEC rivals.
For Texas A&M University students, former students, and College Station locals alike, football is more than just a popular past-time. The return of football season calls for the return of treasured traditions and memories in the making, thanks to the impressive legacy of the Aggie football program.
Aggies far and wide flock to College Station as early as 7 a.m. on Gamedays to prep for the game the Aggie way. As the Aggies on the field lace their cleats and don their jerseys, the Aggies off the field pop their tents, fire up their grills, and crack a cold beer in a cheers to the game to come.
